Yamaha TD1C

Postby dandywarhol » Sun Feb 19, 2017 5:54 pm

I picked up my latest toy today - a 1967 Yamaha TD1C 250. I raced this bike as a classic bike nearly 30 years ago and I'm delighted to be reunited with it. look forward to getting her on track soon :D

Very smart, looks great. You going to be racing or parading her ? We had Reg Everett along to our club three years ago, (Brooklands VMCC) to give us a talk. He brought one of his old Yamaha racers with him and we took it up to the members' bar where he was giving the talk :-)

I'll parade this year and maybe renew my race licence next year. It hasn't run for about 8 years so I want to pull the engine apart and refresh the seals etc.

I'd 3 good seasons on it with quite a few wins before the Suzuki T20s began to get faster :? It'll be great to get back in the saddle but not aiming to replicate 30 years ago  . I'll probably parade it at Donington in August http://www.donington-park.co.uk/events/ ... 058/#event
