link no longer works email me if interested dave
see attachment below

IF YOU BUILD ONE MAKE IT ALL METAL FOR SAFETY
AND READ ABOUT RAKE AND TRAIL PLANS DO NOT SHOW IT AND IF NOT RIGHT CAN CAUSE BAD HANDLING
MORE THAN 5HP IS TOO MUCH

AND A HONDA TRAIL 70/DAX CAN BE THE WHEELS SUPPLIER
TAKES CARE OF THE GOOD BRAKES PROBLEM

MY FATHER BUILT ONE ABOUT 1957 AND RAN IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS
USED TO KEEP IT IN THE BACK OF HIS JUNK gmc TRUCK AS A BACKUP :)
AR DAVE

AND THE ONLY PART FROM CHINA WILL BE REPLACEMENT TIRES AND TUBES
THAT'S A SCARY THOUGHT

maybe I'm biased (organbuilder=essentially cabinetmaker) but I like it.

Remember: the famous and expensive Morgan
http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/production/index.html
even today still has a partly wooden frame.
There was more than one motorcycle with a wooden frame...

got the motor last month and looking for a trail 70 for wheels and front forks
makes it easy to build and i still have the title for the one dad built in the 1950's...

with the problems in north africa i will not be even surprised at where it goes in price
in fact the plan is to run it on compressed natural gas if i can find a carb to fit the motor
its only 20 miles a day for me if i do not do a lot of running around
dave

the big problem with high fuel price
is its going to drive the FOOD prices way UP

forgot to say when i posted this to look at other scooters with same tire size
and try to copy the rake and trail of the front end
so it doesn't dump you off
and handle bad

Dave, we will be burning it as a source of heat because of the wooden chassis.

Love the way the fuel tank is on top of the hot cylinder head, in an enclosed space. Is this the Kamakazi model? By the way, petrol is around the $10 mark per gallon, here in the UK at the moment :(

my saxon tour has hot oil in the frame heating a plastic tank ???

and we used to put oil coolers in the fuel lines on the k75 and k100 bmw bikes
so when hot weather was present
the gas did not boil in the tank
on a hot day in the mid west usa
