I just saw this and if you haven't gone this weekend you have the next two weekends by the way it looked today.

There's color in some spots but overall it's still green. The weather has been strange with an extremely wet spring ,hot dry summer and then the hurricane.
So the trees are a little confused.

RT 100 is excellent ! The southern and middle section should be open but I'm not sure what the hurricane did to it in those areas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rvvr1uICyRk
I like RT 116 and RT 17. Check out this link and you can see what great riding there is in Vermont.

A short 20 minute ferry gets you across the lake to the Adirondack Park http://www.google.com/search?q=Adironda ... 25&bih=733
Let me know if your in the area and I'll show you a lot of roads that aren't on the maps. :-D

Thanks for the responses. We had a great trip, a couple of road closures and a lot of road construction but that is what we expected. I'll keep this info for the next trip. We planed on taking that ferry but didn't make it that far north. iceman would be cool to meet up.

Lake Champlain in Vermont. With very little snow this winter the water is low,It's usually way over the rocks by about 10 feet.
The mountains across the lake are the Adirondacks in New York 10 miles across the lake.

Beautiful John. I remember back in the day my grandfather taking me ice fishing in the winter on Lake Champlain. He had his own shanty we would haul out soon as it was safe and fished all winter. Have you spotted Champ yet?

Hi Don,
No Champ siting yet, going on 20 years.
The ice still gets full of shanty's,a lot of trucks/cars went through this year because It's been the warmest winter since I've been here.
At times I think I might want to live someplace warmer year round but I'm use to the Northeast since I've been here all my life.
When my nephew gets out of school in three years I can go back to escaping to Maui for a month each winter like I use to. :D

You never know one might appear on eBay.de, where i spend far to much of my time! Got far to many projects as it is but if a rare part turns up at the right price it would be silly to say no. There is a company in Germany that makes copies of the tubular subframe used on the ES125/G but then you need the longer shocks.... ah well one day perhaps!

Another oddity from the files. MZ prototype for the ES125. Much of it is as finally released in 1962 but the rear end is off the ES175/250 series and it still has a round headlight with the sideflashes. The tank looks like a one off. I rather like it!
