Don next time look at he Williston State Police Barracks right beside RT 89 all box stores and restaurants condos sprawl, sprawl, sprawl.

Williston added a one percent tax on anything bought in Williston on top of the state sales tax so the property taxes would stay lower. That was five years ago they need another rabbit to come out of the hat.

Yeah, I see John. I'm proud of my New England roots and all, but there's no reason I could ever see to move back up north. At least VT is not as bad a Taxassachusetts - yet! I guess the influx of "non-natives" is inevitable and it's called progress by some. :( Looking at your great pics, I can see there are still many areas just as I remember, and it's still THE most scenic state that exists. But down here in 'Bama you can ride a good nine months out of the year, still have the seasons on a slightly higher temp scale, and the prop taxes are about 1/10 what you're mentioning. :-D We always had plans to retire back in VT when retirement came, but my last duty station was at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL, and we both loved it here and decided to stay. And to get back on topic, after 25+ years living in the tropics throughout Asia and the Pacific all the while riding some sort of two-wheeler, I couldn't handle the winter riding up there anymore mate. :-D

I guess that all depends where in the US you are located.

Up here in Northern Vermont it is. Out in California I would think It's never off-season.

Up here by the Canadian border It's not uncommon to get a foot of snow in April !! I'd like to see you out on the road after that with your bike

Thanks,I like photos and motos !!
