Hey John the Iceman;

How you doin' up there? Looks like the creek's risin' all over the state. Or are you far enough north to miss most of the flooding? Take care mate.

Don,we got it bad with all the water.A lot (8/10) towns are cut off without roads in and out.
I'm far enough North that it wasn't that bad but the Southern part of the state and actually also the middle of the state are hurting bad.As you know Vermont is way inland with the state of New Hampshire protecting us or so I thought.The state already declared it a disaster and are looking to the Federal Government for help.Bridges just washed away.Roads gone.It will be a while for the infrastructure to be back in place.The Woodstock area and south down by Ludlow were hit hard.
Check out this video..http://abcnews.go.com/US/hurricanes/hur ... d=14402696

"Hurricane Irene is gone but Vermont is the latest state to deal with her fury as five people are dead and one is missing in the worst flooding the state has seen in 84 years, which has the governor calling for "all the help we can get."
You're just left with yourself all the time, whatever you do anyway. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate.

Yeah, been checking the situ often John. Glad y'all okay but looks very tough further south. Been through many of those towns in the past, and they haven't changed all that much. Seeing some of the old covered bridges disintegrating after a century of use was terrible as I recognized a lot of it. Been a crazy weather year so far. Down here much of Alabama is still on disaster relief from the recent tornadoes. FEMA has been a long drawn out process, but eventually they usually deliver on the claims. Takes time though. Keep hanging brother.
