Saw an article on test ride of the new 450 and 550 SM from Aprilia. Look like incredible bikes and supposedly goin to make it to the states in September of 2005

very nice bikes, lots of problems with the 550 in world supermoto this year. the 450 kicked ass though..

nice but still needs some work

a better than good headlamp
a seat one's fat arse can set on for 10 hours
and a place to mount a set of nice bags
and a front fender down on the tire so i dont get so damn wet

Wanna borrow my bike carrier :) I'd last 1 hour on that seat.....makes the MZ feel like a Goldwing

i have a friend who is very short he says most
bikes remind him of a sawhorse
way tooooo tall and no place to set
unless you lay a board on top
:-D

ps ap and bmw are talking again dont be suprised if you see
this thing in some size with a bmw label on it in the next 3 years

Aprilia is set to unveil their real supermoto V4 motor made in house by Aprilia should be out this time next year to run MotoGP
Aprilia's new motor makes close to 200 hp.. :D Think about that 4 little pistons at 1000 cc makes just over 200 hp in race form !

Test rode the new Aprillia SMV 750 Dorsoduro a few weeks ago ... twice! After 2 hours constant riding was very impressed. Not got the same character as my Baggi - but was definately fun! Would consider one as long as I kept the Baggi too :D (really comfy gel seat - no numb bum!)
