David and Puffs -
"Sidewinder" was a small sidecar attachment, enabling a learner rider to ride legally a larger capacity machine than the UK learner laws of the time would allow for a solo machine.

On another point : in six decades of buying and riding motorcycles, I have never had a test ride........

Following a biased and flawed moderator choice (someone posting aggressive personal attacks is rewarded, while my technical posts are removed - behind my back & without any justification!), I have withdrawn from this forum.

over here if its got a v8 in it WFO is the way they ride

test and license required but a lot ride without it

locals call any thing under 400 cc a joke or a moped

i have seen 1 moped on the road in the last 10 years

license plate and ins required

police wrote him so many tickets it caused a paper shortage

Haha and it never even bit me. :-D

They guy that had the VT 500 had a trailer on it as well (Still have the towbar but re-used the metal brackets) He used it for carrying his photographic equipment to outside shoots, and for carrying dead animals back from rides, in and about the glens of Scotland.
