Carb needle...

Postby TS2Fifty » Tue Apr 15, 2008 12:49 pm

To suit BVF 30-N2-3(or 4). According to the handbook this is numbered "C6"

Not over urgent but could use one as mine has been bent/re-straightened at some point.

Also any other unwanted TS250/1 spares may be of interest to me, from a condenser to a complete engine (maybe even bikes if the price & location is right). I'm based in Crewe, Cheshire.

Cheers, Dan.

Hello!

"C6" is a 2,5A512 , perhaps needle and condenser you can find in USA.

In Cuba a MZ is the best motocycle they can buy . You look for bikes in the Cuban comunity of your city, if they exists.

Un saludo
Best Regards
Manuel

Hi, thanks for that info. We don't have a Cuban community as such in Crewe, Polish maybe but they're all in FSO's!!!

I can understand MZ being the choice though after accidentaly running my gearbox totally dry for around 200miles to no immediate breakdown (time will tell what damage has really been done I suppose).
I'm not desperate for a condensor in particular by the way, though I would be interested in any MZ TS250/1 parts from as small as this to complete bikes.

Thanks again though for the needle information, keep rubber side down! ;-)
Cheers, Dan.

¡Hola!

Gearbox (and other parts) TS 250/1 5 gears same ETZ 250.

Engine 250 models best build than 125 models.

MZ manual are write change the transmission oil every 12400 miles, too much miles and impurities in suspension. I change every 3000 - 5000 km. EP oil .

Saludos, Manuel.

Hi, I think I'll change the gearbox oil every 1000miles (1650Km?) for the first couple of times to flush out any debris caused by my ignorance & then will probably go to around 2500/3000 after that. Of course that's if I make that sort of mileage on the 4 speed unit before completing the rebuild of the original 5 speed lump, hopefully I will have that ready before the end of the summer... (That said, the little Cagiva is taking plenty of my time at the moment too so I may not!  )
