A semi clever brake light fix

Postby Eomund » Sun Apr 05, 2020 5:48 pm

Hey all. So from anyone who looked at my posts in the tech section, I was able to make a temporary fix:

I did the walkthrough here: https://imgur.com/gallery/ieMNgai

It's not perfect but it will hold me over until I get the OEM light (which I will order soon)

Now my bike is ready to ride....... And it's raining. FML

Good going!

Rain on your side, here it's magnificent weather but I'm not allowed to ride... €250 fine if you do.

That suck man. I mean being on a bike is the definition of social distancing. It should be allowed.

I've been taking the quarantine very seriously. This is my quarantine project. And when the weather stops being a dick I'll take her out too.

Thankfully my local auto shop had some 6v lights. We still have plenty of 6v classics on the road so it wasn't too hard to find.

To be fair, these days I often buy 10x bulbs on e-bay of a specific type for £2 delivered.. this can be 6v or 12v.. They may be poorer quality (indeed a lot of the 5w bulbs i had purchased had silverised and at least halved their output over a sustained period).. But.. Bulbs are bulbs... You should always be carrying spares with you anyway..!
