Hi everyone,
I've just got back into biking after nearly twenty years break. I haven't got an MZ at the moment, but before you castigate me, I have owned three in the past, and actually passed both parts of the test on a ts125. Also had a etz250. That was a fantastic bike and I should never have sold it.......so here I am looking to get back on one again.

Hi, I have just joined the forum, i feel a bit of a fraud but has been suggested that i get in touch, I have purchased a DKW 159 Jet witha sachs 50cc engine, although its a sachs I have been told that it the RT variant as fitted in the MZ range, this may or not be right, if it is correct is there a repair agent in the midlands(England) who may be able to help. or is the MZ Simpson moped engine the same, any info greatly appreciated....sorry to hi jack your forum for a non MZ product. Thanks Paul

Hello all.
I have bought, but not yet received, a 1998 Skorpion Traveller and am anticipating great things, especially the electric leg.
I currently own two British bikes, but due to an arthritic right knee, can no longer kickstart them. The BSA B50MX was a bugger to start even with a good leg!
I love big singles (bikes that is) and the MZ looked like a good candidate to allow me to continue riding.
Also, having previously owned a Yamaha SRX600, so the MZ engine is a known quantity and I suspect pretty close to the riding experience of the Yamaha which I enjoyed.

I've scanned this forum and have been really impressed by the members knowledge and look forward to participating in the future.

Cheers
Bill

be warned the traveller motor is a short stroke motor and a different experience than a UK thumper

but it will get you down the road

keep looking some one makes an electric winder for a lot of those older bikes its just finding WHO

and a set of higher bars will help on a long ride

mine had clip on's and was a back killer
