Sticking With It...........

Postby Grumbly Bearing » Tue Feb 19, 2019 9:52 am

I've decided after some soul searching and a lot of time and effort spent stripping things down, cleaning 14 years of oxidation off just about every surface and rewiring the bike that I'm keeping my project Traveller and getting it fully fit and back on the road. Over the past two months I've got it loosely put back together and today was rewarded with the engine running :-D :-D Looking forward to being part of the Community.

That truly is a rewarding moment. It’s time mine surfaced again too!

I love that feeling when the bike starts up and runs perfectly, no knocks, bangs, etc... :-)

Exactly!

A new bike is nice, but the reward you get from a bike you took apart & put back together is on a different level.

+ a light & agile single is a joy to ride on twisty roads.

It’s the total bonding package that you can’t have with new bikes that you’ve just also paid a fortune for.

Sorry for late update.....

Finished the bike over the course of last year. Taxed, MOTd and insured in October and done a few miles on her(?) since.

Looking to fit panniers and do some touring on her.

anyone got any for sale?
