letting them set is hard on them

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:09 pm

Due to a bunch of things my bikes have been setting a lot
and now that i am back to running them again

the turn signal stalks the black part that mounts it have died and the lens are hanging down on the wiring

on all 3 bikes or about 12 of them what a mess
the rt125 front brake needs flushed
and the Carb installed

finding brake parts for rt125 in us is a problem hope system flushes out OK

dave

looks like 500cc saxon tour will be easy one to get going
as i have some turn signals from a basket case that will look ok on it

Good! There is little as rewarding as cruising country lanes on a beautiful spring day.

Do you really need indicators? I only have indicators on 2 of my bikes, for the rest I just use my hands. Here, if you have indicators, they must work, but their presence is not mandatory (certainly not for older bikes).

must be present and working on bikes made after 1972 at least the state where i live
but hand signs OK also

the problem where i live is there are no bike shops any more
just the guys selling 4 wheeler's

its 40 miles to a BICYCLE SHOP and Walmart sells 24 inch bikes but no 24inch tires and tubes

bicycles not too popular as every where you go is up hill both directions :smt023

Hey I just saw this post, I saw on a site that for the KLR's there is a repair kit to fix hanging turn signals. I think they were 20 bucks, it might work for the mz's. Yes I am still thinking about a Traveller but I found a honda nt700v with 2300 miles on it and parking it in uncles garage for I do not have room in the winter in the garage for everything.

Yes, with 'bike' I meant 'motorbike'. Vroom vroom.

Here a BICYCLE does not need indicator lights, just use hand signals. Bicycle riding is a very popular sport, both on the road as well as off (both mountain biking/VTT & cyclocross).

Turn signal problems are often just the flasher relay. Or earth. Rarely the bulb.

I have such a very long list myself on various vehicles.. And it grows evermore until I sort them all out by taking them off the road for a few months. Indeed however the satisfaction of nearing the end of the list on one of the vehicles is gratifying!
