TPS Issues

Hello, I got a 2005 MZ 1000s. Parts are extremely rear around here in the US. I finally got some of the parts I needed hand made and put on. Bike fired up a couple of times and ran awesome. Long story short, I cranked it the 2 days ago and the bike instantly jumped to 9k rpms while idling. I thought maybe the throttle cable was stuck, but after quick examination of it, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. Only thing I can come up with is that I have a faulty TPS sensor. Has anyone on here found a site that still sells or makes parts for this bike?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi.

Most parts are available in Germany.

Check out https://www.muz.de/ or ask in the german forum http://mz1000.motomonster.de/

Ask in your language. No problem.

Hi , did you scan the codes ? Are you sure it’s a TPS ? Did you check your low RPM air acuttator motor ? The one on your air filter box where two hoses from your throthle bodies come to , its on same side as your TPS sensor on the bottom of the air box . If it would be it it think 2nd gen aprilia got something simular , good luck .

BTW , i don’t think TPS will cause your motor to rev that hi , check for air leaks , check your throthle body hoses . :D
