Now that is one neat naked MZ. Sure beats a monster anyday. Too bad no US importer.

Overall, I think it looks good (apart from the radiator cowl and "bellypan" which I definately do not like).

Any engine mods at all?

It was build by a dealer and you can get the parts to pimp your MZ 1000 SF

More information you can read on http://17787.forendienst.de/show_messages.php?mid=4423048&page=2

Just doesn't do it for me :-( The headlight needs to extend to protrude to the same line as the front axle. The rad shroud should reach back to the frame, covering that chunk of triangular metal (or at least anodize that part to match the frame!); the design should also follow the lines that define the tankpads. And the bellypan should jut back more, hiding more of the exhaust header.

Though as they say, "Different strokes..."
Relax. You'll live longer.

Maybe it will interest those over in Europe, but over here we have'nt even got the standard SF, which I think is far better looking. It's too bad they never got it homolagated here, as I'd be seriously eyeballing them.... I think the SF would have sold much better than the 1000S. I'm not much of a fan of the chopped and cropped look, but I guess it's the latest fad... I'd prefer top shelf Ohlin shocks/ gold forks, trick bits and some polished stuff like swingarms and brackets, suede seat, exotica stuff. Eye candy German style!..... but like Drew said "........for different folks" 8)

I reckon a Buell/Gezzi-Brian style under motor muffler would make it something special.

there building some nice bikes

but they need to rebuild the MZ name first
with a bike for the masses 250 to 600cc class that can be a basic
daily driver not some rich mans toy
they all most did it with the 125cc bikes except in the usa they needed to be
at least a 400cc bike
the way my rt125 runs and works has proved to me they know how to build
motorcycles ...now it is a matter of building a good one that sells

i have looked at bikes that can be bought new and used and see nothing
i would bring home that i do not allready have except maybe a BMW K75RT

even if some one else was paying for it :-D
ar dave :D

or some time in the future a MZ RT400 :D hope hope
