Anyone heard any news re the purchase of the MZ company by a german group?

hi boilermaker,

New German owners in March, contracts signed and open weekend on May 23-24th where the new owners are going to put forward future plans etc.

They already building, lawnmowers, waterpumps and someting i cant remember, they have employed already 14 engineers and hope to have 50 staff by end of may.

9 engineers already working on new prototype race bike frame and parts.

parts now been delivered to UK.

mz hopefully start production of 125 again with new bits to comply with euro 4 reg in autumn 09, already 5 weeks behind schedule.
mz 1000s news, that a local zschopau guy who manufactures 2 stoke spares want to buy the patent and carry on with the 1000 series abeit in small numbers, we will see.
They forsee more engineering this year from the other parts/business but they gotta start somewhere, and probaly not much motorcycles buliding.
