Forgot to mention that if you are looking for tubing then it should be API Schedule 10 wall thickness in AWS 304 or nearest 18/8 Stainless Steel. For this application it does not need to be seamless tubing.

Thanks a lot.....

You've opened the can (lol); I will have to do a lot more homework before taking the bike in. Will have to find out if the guys have the correct materials and the alternator and ECU thing is scary stuff if not done correctly?

Your advice is great stuff.

Your local custom car/bike exhaust manufacturer should be able to carry out the work as long as you give him the info that I have specified. As a bonus they can probably carry out the work "off the bike" thereby removing the requirement for electrical/electronic isolation.

Yip, you are right

Before doing the deed is there no way to clean the Cat filtes?? Maybe I can do that first and depending on the success I will then consider the alternatives.
:D

I am having trouble with this dirty cat bit. If your catalyst has been running at the right temperature then it is virtually self-cleaning (if a little dangerous on a bike). The only way to foul a cat would be to expose it to leaded, contaminated, or heavily oiled fuel and in all three cases this renders the cat useless in the permanent sense! My advice to you (for what it is worth) is to junk the bloody things ASAP.

You're just left with yourself all the time, whatever you do anyway. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate.
