1000 sold to Germany

Postby johnny2tents » Tue Jul 07, 2009 6:39 am

Hi Chaps, Grahams last new 1000s has just been sold back to Germany. One or two other S/H bikes have also gone to European buyers recently. Cheers J2T

Hi Boilermaker,
Still planning on a visit to Devon to say hello. Will stay in local B&B/pub and buy you a pint!
Am now on BT21s which for me are lasting more than 4000 miles.
Any local to Devon events/runs that you are planning to do?
If you get time, google mobile.de for view of German MZ 1000 market. J2T

Let me know when you are coming down and I may be able to help you with local B&B contacts. We have a 2000 + bike night at Paignton every wednesday night and there are a few charity runs coming up. Only 2 MZs at Paignton tonight, my 1000st and another villagers etz 250 but a fine night sitting on the promenade looking at so many interesting machines.

What a coincidence. I emailed Grahams only this afternoon asking if they still had the new 1000S on their website (before I discovered this bb). Of course they replied that they sold it "a month ago" :(

Anyone who where there is a new 1000S anywhere in Europe?

Still looking for a new 1000S but found a new SF in hideous orange. Does anyone know the list price these were being sold for when MZ were still in business?

If you are referring to the Orange 1000sf for sale at Crosscombe mill garage in Somerset, I know that he has had the bike for about 3 years and may be open to a deal if you were to haggle. I think the price that he is asking was the old book price.

That's the one :D It was up for £5995 on ebay last March but nobody bought it. I need to mod it for registration in France and the parts costs are an astronomical £800 for a headlight and speedo cluster. Does anyone know of such items sitting on a shelf anywhere?

Did you try to contact MZ themselves ? Ask them what the parts would cost, if you like I could ring them for you
Cheers

As I log in at 15 00 today (Friday) I am greeted by the old 'random' photo of the red 1000SF from somewhere near Bedford?
Simultaneously I get this telepathic message of an orange 1000SF being collected from Croscombe Garage at exactly the same time!
Spooky or what? Cheers to all and the new owner. J2T
