Exhaust?

Postby Mach IV » Wed Jan 12, 2011 2:49 pm

Who makes/made full systems or slipons?
Anything from other bikes fit or can be modded to fit?
Damn thing is too quiet.

I'm a dealer in the US and I have accounts with 4 exhaust companies none of which
make systems for the MZ1000.
if I find a company that does make em I'll apply for an account.

Mach
If you go on to motorsportworld uk web site they are offering a full REMUS system, with mufflers x 2 etc for around £550. I am not sure of the exchange rate but there are a few more companies in europe producing including MZ Faber in Germany.

Sebring Twister or Remus (I believe they're the same part, just rebadged) and a few odd ones from Germany. All must be ordered from European suppliers or direct from the manufacturer. Your looking at big shipping costs, and if they won't take a credit card or better yet, Paypal, your in for bank to bank fund transfer fees....been there done that. Best bet is to do a search of the forums here, there was a dealer back in 05 that did a mod on the stock pipes and then used standard slipons. Or you could gut the stock silencers and stick in stainless perforated cores (LA Choppers brand available from Dennis Kirk) and repack it. Not a bad option, I've done it on other bikes and if your handy can be done quite easily. good Luck

You can save a lot of money and just take off the cover in the airbox and let that thing inhale.Great sound in your lap and free. :D

If you like that and want more for free like was already mentioned core the stock cans.I don't believe anyone in the US makes them for the MZ 1000

I don't think you will as there are less than one bike per state in the USA.

Remus selles in the US,I've emailed them for info.
I would rather keep the stock muffs stock.
Maybe find a used or junk set for the pipes and attach some S/Os to them.

Looks to me like the Aprilia Falco pipes would do the trick.
They look to be long enough to cut and modify to fit.
I may buy a factory set,cut to fit and then get slipons for a Falco.
