Posted: Thu Apr 24, 2014 3:08 pmHi I have just got this out of the back of the shed, I know its a Yamaha but I think MZ made a prototype with the 850 engine before making the 1000 motor.I wonder if it still exists

Posted: Sat Jun 14, 2014 2:57 amThe TRX 850 was an excellent machine and the one that I had would out- handle some Ducatis including the one that I owned. The dry-sump engine (developed from the Paris-Dakar specials ) would have been a good choice for an MZ machine. The 270 deg firing angle made for a very torquey motor. All in all a very un-japanese machine.
