ECU needed

Postby johnsb » Fri Aug 29, 2014 8:15 am

Hi every one I am desperately looking for a new or used ECU for my MZ 1000 SF. But S or ST will be fine. My one is broken, Graham's have cleared the fault codes but the fans are on all the time, the speedo and rev counter do not work and feels as though it's in safety mode. There are no new ones available from the factory Graham's do not have one and they cannot re program it as they cannot get the program. Can anyone help please, I have a Mint 1000SF that cannot be ridden.

also found this quote in the middle of a forum about what fits what..

Aside from price, the statement in the title is not correct. ** MZ 1000 S SF ST ECU engine control ECU from a MZ1000S is only tuned for a MZ1000S. although the SF and ST runs it, but just not right. This lesson in S-ECU had Karsten (MuZMan56) and I last year at Dr. Faber in October at our Rhine -. / Mosel Tour Karsten had a S-ECU in his SF in it, which was not right (throttle response, driveability slow, jerking, ...). At SF / ST a camshaft with a different offset than the S is fitted. This was very surprising and at the same time informative for us. Although simply replace the ECU as times goes forth from the installation, but of the vote here, it does not fit. Notice this just so on the edge, if someone pays € 1,000 for it and wonders following, why his SF or ST as " unusual "running. Whoever wants to know exactly, well, just call at MZ-Faber. Greetings Marco

Hi,

There's a company in Oxfordshire called Electrex that repair ECU's, usually around £150

Please keep us updated on your ECU, I have an SF (running perfectly at the moment) and if I have a problem it would be nice to know there is a solution.
