All MZ 1000S in the USA were actually stamped from the factory with VINs designating them as 2004 models, but by the time they got to the US and cleared EPA etc etc they had to apply for new VINs designating them as new 2005 models. Went round and round with the distributor at the time. It's legit. Nothing suspect. I bet your bike likely was built August or September 2004??

Hi . Ok so my numbers are difrent on the sticker and frame . Its only two digits that are difrent , frame have stamp 64 in the center of the VIN , and a sticker have 45 in that spot , all other numbers are this same , do i have to asume thay 64 is 6 month and 4 is the year ? Than 45 would indicate 4 th month of 2005 ? , a have other MZ and all the numbers on the sticker and frame match ! So im confused here ,

One more thing , bike with difrent numbers originated from California , and the other one i got from Georgia , would that matter ? Since California have difrent EPA rules maybe ? And they both behave difrent would that be acording to difrent maps in CPU ?

Ok . Just check the VIN on the other MZ . If my way of thinking is correct there wont be a difrence in the numbers since they are 55 . That would indicate that bike was produced in may of 2005 , in this case there os no need of new numbers therefore they match . IDK maybe im wrong .

I believe the 10th digit of motorcycle VINs designates the year. That sticker should also have a series of digits elsewhere such as 07/04 or 08/04 for example (08 would be the month and 04 the year) likely designating the month the Vin was created for the bike,
