MZ1000 ST Front Discs - Spec or source

Postby Shiny » Thu Oct 05, 2017 2:55 pm

I need to replace both discs and have been finding it a bit of a struggle identifying replacements. Can anyone help?

When you find the correct type can you post it here please?
I thought I had it on my list of compatible bits but I don't, sorry.

It looks very similar to a Yamaha SZR660 disc. Check the offset............

Or this.

http://www.speedaddicts.com/motorcycle/ ... tor-md855x

From what I can find it's an MZ only fit but MandP in south wales lists it as the same disk as a Kawasaki GPZ 660r, GTR 1000 and GPZ 750. I cannot believe that MZ has a disk that is specific to them and didn't use a already available disk (as it did for everything else). Kawasaki disks will certainly be cheaper (as long as they fit). Good luck with your search, If I find out anything more I will let you know.

I think that's just a generic picture because the part number is correct, MD855e and ex. I emailed ebc yesterday and got the full spec of the disks and they confirm that is the MZ1000 series is the only fitment for that disk. Below is the reply I got from EBC.

We will have discs with similar measurements but not exactly the same.

Thank you very much, are there any other disks with the same spec?

Cheers
Mick

If this is not correct we may have other options available if you can provide me with the dimensions shown above but please note we do not make one off specials.
