hallo! Im also proud owner of a 1000S here in Taiwan. I have a question which hope some can answer...when I bought the bike it didnt come with a user manual. The bike runs beautifully but the orange engine warning light is constantly on. Can anyone tell me what kind of problem this warming light pertains to. Thanks for your help

Hi and congrats on owning a 1000s. The MIL light will stay on as long as the bike thinks it has a fault but if there is no fault it will go out after three start and warm cycles. Does your dash give you any numbers when you switch on? As for a handbook I cannot help but if you need a part manual and repair manual look here. https://grahamsmotorcycles.com/mz-parts/stsf-1000s/

Hi.
Most of the time thi MIL needs only 4 to 5 starts with cold engine to get off.

If the light keep still on, you have to check for an error code. The original diagnostic unit (FR2000) is available at www.muz.de but expensive. You can try with an ordinary OBD reader.

How do you get an MZ1000 in Taiwan?

Regards

..some guy imported it together with a 660...he crashed it and then "gave" it to me... :) Unfortunately the fairing is gone but it runs beautifully.

Wow - lucky man.

Naked looks fine to me. Maybe a different headlight.
