1974 TS250 regulator

Postby Orfun73 » Mon May 29, 2017 9:28 pm

I'm the new guy. Inherited a 1974 TS250 with questionable wiring.

There are 2 green/red wires from the generator to the regulator. The thicker of the 2 goes from the DF on the generator to the D+ on the regulator. The thinner one goes from D+ on the generator to the DF post on the regulator.

This dosen't seem right to me. The charging light on the headlight stays on, regardless if the revs are increased. My question:is the regulator shot or should these wires be reversed to correspond to their respective terminals?

Your patience is appreciated!!
