Silver Star and Velorex 562 tire pressure

Postby Bertram » Sat Sep 23, 2017 4:37 pm

Listers: Question thrown out to the few MZ Rotax side car rigs owners; and Velorex 562 side car owners. I have found huge variations on what to run. My manual says front 1.7 bar/ 24.2psi, rear 1.8 bar/ 25.6psi, side car 1.9 bar/ 0.27psi. This is for solo rider, two up riders only an increase of 1.1 bar 1.4psi on rear tire. Web research shows between 26 to 30psi for the front,
26 to 36 for the rear, and 26 for the side car tire, is what people are running. Searching past posts here on the topic one rider who owned a Jawa 350 with a Velorex 562 posted some numbers that seemed to me to fit my rig based on size and side car attached. He was running a lot higher pressures than the manual recommends. Any advice out there.

Thanks Bertram
