No, they have the same muffler. Reducing the HP was realized by another carb (26 instead of 30) and another cylinder head (less compression)

Hi guys, original poster here with an update. Heidi at Ost2rad was great in working through the problem I had with the header and has issued a refund. Unfortunately this is the only down pipe they have so no dice there. It appears that our very own Guesi has the correct down pipe so I would recommend his outfit.

In the mean time I learned a lot and found this board/forum to be one of the best that I have belonged to. Thanks guys. (Gratuitous MZ photo)

Should I?

To tie a knot in this saga, Ost2rad was very gracious and refunded me the money and I ordered one from Guesi, which fit nicely.

Still I don’t know why the first one didn’t work but I’m happy with my new header pipe and my TS250. Thanks to everyone who pitched in and it was nice to get so many helpful comments.
