Front wheel spacers MZ ETZ 250

Just put a replacement front wheel on my 1990 MZ ETZ 250.
Why is there no extra spacer on the left spindle or am I missing one?

The only thing that should be there is a small spacer that that looks like it's form is made to be a bearing dust cover.

While forks & front wheels are the same (I think), you say "1990 MZ ETZ 250", but shouldn't that be a 251? The ETZ251 came in 1989 & replaced production of the ETZ250, AFAIK.

I see the poster is in the UK, and it is likely if it is truely a 250 as opposed to a 251 it is a later registered vehicle. Indeed I have seen ETZ250's on '89 and '90 plates. But no later than that.

Either way, 250 or 251 the front set up is the same as far as I can see (and I own both).
