Keihin FCR VS CR

I've been looking at pictures and have been wondering about the float bowl clearance considerations...
I've noticed over the years and the discussions on this forum about after market carbs and that on the Baghira type MZ product line, if replacement carbs are used there are clearance issues with the exhaust.
Thinking about the FCR type carbs and I've been wondering if it's just the float bowl and if CRs were to be used the clearance wouldn't be an issue. Any thoughts...
