126cc spark plug boot

Postby SeattlePaul » Sun Oct 26, 2008 1:03 pm

Greetings,

I have a 2002 RT model. I cannot get the rubber boot out to service the plug or oil the cylinder after long disuse. I don't want to damage it, who knows if I could get a replacement for the now orphaned bike :smt022 How do I get this out intact?

Thanks,
Paul

with the tank off twist the rubber clockwise then anti clockwise several times to break it loose
from the plug
then pull up its grip on the plug is what holds it in

also there is a drain in left side a small hole below 2 silver dots forms about a 2 in x2in x2in triangle
a shot if air pressure maybe
a bit of silicone into the hole with bike on its right maybe and

also a flat screw driver down beside rubber boot and move it s grip on the plug

not a big fan of wd40 on rubber would try silicon spray
in plug attaching part when it goes back on ..
