I find it difficult to find neutral especially after a long run is this normal or can it be helped?
Sorry i should say it is a 78 ts 250 supa 5

What I do on my Supa 5 is:-
Kick the bike down into first.
Lift up into second.
Slow gently squeeze back down into neutral watching for the neutral light coming on.
