Skorpion Tour forkspring replacement

Postby Old Dog » Thu Apr 02, 2009 1:36 pm

Hi chaps,
I have invested in a set of progressives for my tour but I have lost the blasted instruction in the carnage that is my shed. So if anyone have an answer to the following I would be grateful - as always.

The air gap is set with the spring out and the leg fully compressed? T/F
The air gap is measured from the top of the leg to the oil surface inside taking no account of the space taken up by the nut?
The tighter coiling goes to the top of the leg and the more open to the lower? T/F

Finally I notice that the spacer in the front wheel is loose between the bearings, do I need to sort this or is it of no practical consequence?

Many thanks
All the best
