1974 ISDT 250

Postby 1sogdusm » Fri Sep 08, 2017 9:23 am

I am acquiring a 1974 MZ ISDT 250 5 speed and will be looking for some clutch parts. Can anyone recommend a source for parts? I am not sure what is damaged yet but wanted to get ahead on finding a source.

Should I assume by lack of response that ISDT parts are next to impossible to find?

Tricky things assumptions.

Should I assume that you've used the search function on this site .... probably not, cuz if you had, you'd have found next to nothing.

Should I assume that you've joined the owners club, or one of the vintage motorcycle groups ....

Going back to my original point, should I assume that you've heard of search engines at all .... one search on Google provides http://www.starfield181.co.uk/ISDT%20MZ%20Project%20Diary.pdf I think it's page 20 that has the clutch. The home website http://www.starfield181.co.uk has a contact us button.

Best of luck.

This site isn't as busy as it used to be as a lot of people tend to use FB groups as their first port of call. ( MZ Riders Group has a lot of expertise)
The G models are rare but depending on which build it is it could have a standard clutch as fitted to the MZ ES and ETS 250s. Until you get the primary side opened you wont know.
ES250 Doppelport, ES250, ES250/1, ES250/2,ETS 250, ES150, ETS150, BK350, IWL Pitty, SR56 Wiesel, SR59 Berlin, Troll............ and thats just the German two strokes!
