Exhaust a1 restricted?

Postby Tony12345 » Tue Aug 21, 2018 6:10 am

Hi I'm looking to buy a 1995 mz500 silver star. I have some knowledge on mz's. The owner says he was asked by another person interested in the bike the type of exhaust. He was unsure him self but had a look and it was marked up as an A1. The other person said it was a restricted exhaust. I would like to know what the restriction is and is there an aftermarket exhaust with out restriction? Thanks

do not worry about the pipe the bike goes fast enough to scare the crap out of you any way

and the front end is quick to slide in heavy rain take it easy when its raining

Thanks for reply, I was just curious :), for a 500cc it should be unrestricted. Unless it was to do with the old driving licence restrictions for a full A but the rider was under age for a full unrestricted bike, something like "max 33bhp for 2 years on restricted licence untill reaching the age to ride any bike unrestricted". Just the bike never got "D" restricted.
Btw I saw this bike up for sale, I know these bikes are now very hard to get hold of, esp with the "classic" MZ look but with a modern touch. Although I have a restricted A licence I still need to get my full A licence, but looking to do that next year. Atm this bike looks too good to pass up, i`d be happy to keep it in the garage for 6 months or so :) lol.

they handle good but will bite you they have a short turn into the fork locks

i came down the road one day and turned into my driveway and hit the fork stops and damn near hit my mail box

when driving it in town pay attention to it wonders around if you are girl watching it will run you up on the sidewalk

very quick steering bike
