Hello, Has anyone got any idea or have hey don't it . The question is how big can a 125 barrel be bored to ? I have seen on an US web site someone selling a 59.8 mm

There was a 125 and a 150 ccm engine on these bikes. In the GDR they almost had the 150 ccm engines because of driving license reasons.

So there are 150 ccm cylinders in many countries available.

These cylinders have pistons up to 58 mm .
The 59.8 is not a piston size, it is a mark of the mould where the pistons were produced in...

Thanks for your reply . I have just looked up the site again and I made a mistake , the size they state is 59.5 mm which I assume is the piston size . So is this wrong or can these Barrels be bored out to this size ? Cheers John

According to the spare part catalogue the last oversize is 58 mm.

59,50 mm is a piston from the ES 175. But these will not fit for the TS 125/150 engine, because the measures (height etc.) are different.
Can you show a link to the piston with 59,50 mm ?

Hi Guesi , Thank you for your input with this , I have now looked at the add again and it does say ETZ . I wasn't aware that the pistons were different to a TS engine so I thought I may be able to bore out my 150cc TS barrel that has some damage to the liner and make use of it ! As I said before this is an add on the UK site item number 2829317171018 . the supplier is in the USA . ATB John
