MZ 125 sm won’t even bump start

Hey everyone.

My brother bought a mz125sm last night. There’s a list of issues longer than my arm. The main one is we haven’t been able to even get it running. How many safety cut offs does this thing have? All so where abouts are they? I’m quite savey when it comes to small single cylinders but this thing has me stumped. The starter motor isn’t engaging but the motor itself performs as it should, correct voltage etc. Later on this afternoon I’ll whip the side of the case off and poke my head inside. It has a vapour dash that looks cool but is pants. It’s got totally the wrong carburettor on it.

Basically how can I at least bump start it?

the right side case has a spring and ball bearing that sets the oil pressure
look at shop manual before you dig
and a proper carb is a must and proper adjusted
the death of one of these bikes is some one wanting to make it go faster
which turns it into a parts bike
the factory had it going good they just forgot if ts not 400cc or bigger its a moped
