Blimy what a polava thumper has been,
So far have bought two ignition coils, both work but that wasnt the problem, Got a New Cdi from rex's speed shop, wasnt that either, checked the feed from the trigger coil and BINGO dead, the trigger coil had stopped sending to the cdi so the cdi wasnt sending the spark impulse to the ignition coil, result 1 dead ignition system!!!. on to the exhaust...
Bought a set of mild steel 1.75 inch Inside/Diam car pipes, 2 with 45' bends, 1 with a 30' bend, have managed to chop a couple of wedges out of it ,so it now fits and runs neatly under the air cleaner, outside of the rear left shock and have a bsa b40 (350cc) trials silencer for the end that should allow it to breath a bit better than the standard unit. Talking of the standard pipe, have a friend working on the standard exhaust, it was full of rust holes from the expantion section under the aircleaner to the silencer, and that had at least three repairs to it. but said mate is confident that he can repair it up to the silencer, cut out the patches and braze a patch over it, then he is going to cut out a large section of the baffle inside the box as I think its just too damn quiet and restrictive for a 500cc single, when The single loudest thing on thumper is the valve train, something needs to be done.....
