Front Fender Rub?

Postby gellermpd » Fri Jan 04, 2013 5:56 pm

Anyone ever see this before? Not sure if it is from occasional contact from the front tire. I don't think there is constant contact since there is no wear on the front tire, no odor of burning rubber/plastic and no visible smoke. There is a crease and a hole worn through. Is there anyway I can adjust the height on the front fender? The front of the fender is at the 6 o'clock position with the rear of the fender at the 12 o'clock position.

Many thanks and a Happy New Year to all!

if i try to place my hand on the tire both front and rear it goes in and stops at my knuckles
it is very close
this may be the result of toooo large of a tire

tire on mine is 300x18 tt even though it has alloy rim

when i got mine it had rubbed like this and had at least a 110/90x18 on it
which is too wide and make the tire be shaped
like an upside down V
now or sometime in the past its had too big a tire installed

bike is 1995 Saxon Tour 500cc rotax

edit high speed running may make tire even bigger

missing cats are never a problem ...it means you do not have to feed them ..
i am feeding about 6 here that do not belong to me
:-D
the 2 in side are well cared for
i wish i could say that for the rest of the area

Cats are in short supply here...too many restaurants in my area! My front tire is a 100x90x18. Is there any disadvantage/advantage to going to the 300x18 tt?

as far as i can tell its what is stock for front 300x18 tt even though it has an alloy rim the rim is for tube type tires
the back is 110/70 or 80x16 on mine the 120 70x16 from a buell blast will work but is very close to the chain covers

heidenau makes the rear in a scooter tire its an all season one with silica in the rubber
but not finding the front from them in silica rubber

where i am it rains a lot and the streets get very slick as we have a lot of brick paved ones from years ago
