E-start Balance shaft same as non-E-start?

Postby davegsm82 » Sat Sep 21, 2013 7:52 am

As per the title, are the shafts the same in the 2 engines?

Thanks, Dave.

I contacted Keith at AmericanDirtbike, he showed me the difference between the e-start and non-estart balance shafts.

Unfortunately mine is a non-estart type shaft, so I will have to disassemble and fit a different balance shaft. Not too much of a problem, clutch cover is already off since it's completely knackered.

I've already sourced the E-start type cover, just need the balance shaft, sprag gears and motor.

Dave.
