Nice bike...

Seeing your pic, I think I remember that on the XT you could use the bleed screw on the filter cap to connect an oil pressure gauge? But it's a low pressure system.

few more jobs done over the last few days, valve clearances done, whilst doing them i had the opportunity to take the radiators off and give them a good clean out, flush the coolant, and spray paint the radiators gloss black, also rubbed down the rusting radiator cap and give that a coat of primer and gold spray, horn also removed and painted silver

today sees the front caliper off for another clean up and paint the back plate and free up the sliders i have tried copper grease in the sliders but it seems nothing is best as they become very sticky if theres any sort of grease in the rubbers, got some new front pads on order as my m.o.t. tester noted they were a bit low so at least its all freed up ready for new pads, and going to bleed the fluid once i get the new pads as its a few years since i have treated it too fresh fluid..

i did get some new mirrors from m and p the other day too and they been fitted along with a new set of domino grips, and now no bar ends much better and cleaner look i post some pics up later

I have a few oil filters here too, so my oil change is going to get done in the next few days too,,

just been for a quick blast and bike seems so much better all these little jobs make such a difference to the overall feel of the bike...
