one from a cx 500 Honda makes a good one for almost any bike it has 3 wires for input

if yours is a 2 wire just tape up the unused wire

The CX500 regulator does look very alike that.
1973 MZ ES250/2 - 17,000 miles - The project! :)
1979 Suzuki TS185ER - 9,000 miles - Mud :)
1981 Honda CX500B - 91,000 miles - Long Distance :)
1987 MZ ETZ300 - 38,000 miles - Sun :)
1989 MZ ETZ251 - 49,000 miles - Commute :)

the color codes on the out put can be confusing as there is a wire to the battery
that looks at battery and a wire that charges the battery

reference the Honda wiring drawing to see how it is wired

i used one from the stepsons CX 500 spares in Aug 2002 to run my rt125 for several weeks
it is still in my spares box
while the dealer ordered me a new one.. the stock battery was junk and took me off the road
at just a few hundred miles by over working the v/reg unit
