US importation

I've found a Baghira for sale and the owner states that the speedo in is KPH since the Baghira was never imported into the US. Wondering about the validity of this as it seems like there are more around than there should be for a "never imported" bike.

Well the Baghira, Mastiff and Skorpion were all imported into the UK but most of the speedos I've seen are in KPH with stickers for miles.

I'm here in the US. They were all imported officially but the speedo's vary.
I bought a Scorpion new in 1995 and it had a MPH speedo but a Km trip meter.
I'm using a Mastiff speedo (from a US bike) on one Skorpion now and that a Km speedo.

There is a smaller rectangular (no tach) version on the Mastiff and a angular version used on the Baggy.
I put the rectangular version on my Skorpion with some wiring mods.
