ignition coil resistance

Hi,

just took the coil off my bike to check its resistancne and from the spark plug en d of the lead to either of the primary wires its reading 25k ohm

supposed to be 10 -15 k ohm

anyone think this could be my cause of bad running at idle ?

for the sake of a new coil i think it may be worth replacing...
