Mastiff wheels

Postby breakwellmz » Mon Dec 28, 2020 10:12 am

Had to remove the front after picking up a flat (time to replace both tyres anyway)
Surprised how a quick wash reveals how well they have aged considering the only maintenance they receive is the very occasional wash and spraying with ` maintenance spray` (WD40 type stuff) since new. Stainless steel spokes certainly help!

These are BEHR rims and they polish up ok without a lot of effort. I think the earlier bikes had plated and sometimes problematic spokes -

Hi.

No worries. 2004 must have been the year that they started fitting stainless spokes then.

Cheers.

It seems like a good set of wheels to consider. I'm currently looking for replacement wheels and tires Online. There are a nice selection of touring tires that I really like.
