6 laps road atlanta @15.25 total miles / 13 minutes mostly full throttle . Tank capacity is 4.7 gallons . main concern is fuel starvation during hard cornering , but @ 6lbs per gallon i want to keep it to a minimum . The skorpion at full sing i would guess would be around 10 mpg (thts a guess) . Any thoughts ?

having run out of gas a few times in my skorpion - the bottom of the tank has several levels/pockets the hold the fuel when the tank is level.

I made it about 15 miles at one point after "running out of gas" and then moving the Skorpion side to side to slosh the fuel into the low point of the tank. as I recall I did this at least 3 time to make it to a gas station.

So - I'd gusss you need to start with .5 gallon "to level the bottom" plus one gallon for the track time.

I was thinking about the same . I will go with 2 gallons and run the practice 6 laps and if i dont have any issues with fuel slosh starvation i will then drain back and see whats left in the tank , thank you for your input ...cheers
