Traveller speedo cable

Postby dickl » Sat Nov 05, 2022 6:40 am

Is there an alternative speedo cable that would fit a year 2000 Traveller speedo?
Thanks

I read somewhere that a Ducati M900 monster cable fits though I have never tried it. Perhaps you could visit a Ducati dealer with your old cable. Do let us know how you get on. Good luck!

I'd visit a motorcycle breaker with my old cable - good luck in finding one!

I have managed to find one that fits and, during a quick 1/2 mile test run, seems to work. It is about 8 cms longer but doesn't look out of place. It is a cable for a Yamaha FZR600 91-93 from M & P Direct
I'll take it for a longer test ride and report back!

I tried sending these details direct to David Thompson, but with no luck, so I posted them here! Attached is a picture of the bag in which the cable was delivered. The label with FZR 600 etc is the merchant's label, and the one with Part No; 053155H is the manufacturer's label. The technical details from the merchant's web site are : length 35.5"/900 mm. 11mm screw over fitting at each end - fits MuZ drive and speedo ends; "square" drive at each end - again fits MuZ Skorpion.
Hope this helps,
Dickl
