Skorpion Center stand

Postby Zavodnik » Sun Jun 04, 2023 7:55 pm

Hello,

I recently picked up both a Skorpion Sport and a Skorpion Tour. It's quite interesting how two bikes that are so similar are also so completely different. One difference which I suspect may be an accident of history is the center stand. The peg on the Tour is much longer, and seems to foul on the heelguard. I'm wondering if somewhere along the way it was swapped with something from a different bike, or may be bent?

Any insights from the asylum?

I've seen and owned a lot of Skorpions and never seen that extended centerstand version on the Tour. I think that was added by someone at some point. it also looks like the end is soild, unlike the Sport (a tube), so that also add confirms.

Any idea what this stand is from originally?

It is a skorpion centerstand as I said, but simply modified. Does it make it easier to get on the center stand??

BTW - you can remove that heal guard (I've removed most of mine) if the stand hitting it is the issue.
