Anybody aware of a replacement, preferably cheap, for the original front brake Master Cylinder assembly? I understand that switchgear can be readily replaced by Royal Enfield parts. Previous owner has made a mess of both.

This is a few months old but, a Brembo 13mm master cyl. is a direct bolt on. They are found on Ducati Monsters etc. with a single disc. Also the cylinders from the smaller Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki should work too. 12 or 13mm bore is what you want.

Buell XB 1/2" Nissin master cylinder is a direct replacement including the brake light switch's connector, except for the banjo bolt which needs to be swapped from the MZ's M10x1.0 to the Nissin's M10x1.25. I think the 1st gen Kawasaki Versys 650 master cylinder is also a front outlet 1/2" Nissin, but YMMV.

The Brembo PS13 also works well, but, since the outlet is on the side, rather than the front, some contorsion of the brake line is necessary.'s

Oh and if you aren't concerned with an OEM adjustable lever, check out Kawasaki NInja 2008+ 250/300 master cylinders. There's a bajillion of them and they're cheap.
