Lads,

I'm working on a source for Gel Batteries in the US. Will post results when available. :?

Batteries

Postby CaptDavis » Mon Mar 07, 2005 4:32 pm

Lads,

The people at "EBatteries to Go.com" came up with a close match for the
Baghira.

Their stock number: YTX7L-BS by Westco. Although slightly smaller,

it still has 85 CCA.

Dimensions are: 4.5" L x 2.81" W x 5.17" High.

Price is: $41.95 plus S&H :?

This battery has been discontinued, but the replacement battery is:

12V7L-B, still by Westco, can be had also at Westcobattery.com for $44.95 plus tax. Shipping is about 5 days. Don't know if eBatteriestogo.com can get it too (probably), but there ya go...

UPDATE:
My Westco battery came just a couple days after ordering from ebatteries, and as reported elsewhere here, it is quite a bit smaller in width (not height) than the OEM battery (which lasted 3 years for me!). I just cut the top of the box off it came in and installed it in the box. It's still nowhere near the same size as the original battery, but it fits well in the battery compartment inside the box, and those big rubber bands that secure the battery are much more snug now. :-D
