Ok we all know how thin on the ground these parts are but it's time we worked together as a helpful team to find good alternative sources for our everyday bits.

My contribution is >

• Skorpion wheels are found on CCM R30 and I would think discs too.
•indicators match Ducati ST4 rears
•trx headlight (although different internals) will fit sport model fairings
•engines as we all know - Yamaha
•cdi unit compatible to Yamaha tdm

Fork legs, electricals, mirrors etc???

Many Thanks for that, will be very useful I've replaced one cooling fan motor with ebay item 380367457271. Slightly smaller diameter body and shaft but easily fettled. Works fine, smooth and good rpm, no idea how it will fare in the weather but @ 2.99 cheap enough to replace again if it failed.

Windmill, thats the spirit, yes sometimes it's the only way to do it and I can't speak for other people but there is such a good inner sensation of satisfaction making something from what's available at budget price! Eric

Yes, would have bought a complete fan but it became apparent that it wasn't going to happen, wanted to mot and complete so that was the best option. Went through boxes & boxes at various bike breakers but couldn't even find anything that used a similar drive motor maybe there's a clue in that..........

Another substitute part, speedo cable for Skorpion Tour is almost the same as yamaha 3D9-H3550-02. The yamaha cable is about 25mm longer but fits a treat. I know this is an obvious one but I thought it might be worth adding.

Skorpion rear suspension spherical bearing:

GE12PB Steel / Phosphor Bronze Spherical Plain Bearing 12x26x16x12mm.

I got mine from Simply Bearings (UK), cost is £22 delivered.

The headlight on the Skorpion Tour model is the same as Buell S1 or X1. Also the same on all BMW airheads and some early K bikes. Look for Buell first due to the lower price than the BMW unit. The name BMW doubles the price.

Turnsignals are also identical to Buell.

Just replaced my front disc as it felt lumpy and was rattling the pads. I used a Honda NSR125 front disc which are directional and I reversed it on its centre by taking the rivets out and building it onto my Skorpion centre only as they come in matt gold and I wanted grey. So it was a perfect fit!!

Brake pads - I used sv1000 ones.

Starter clutch - I had a guy in oregon make them. His name is Monty Lightener - they sell 9 pin starter clutches for 01 and later Raptors - which will not fit, but he can make ones for the skorpion. Beautiful and works like a charm. $125 USD in spring/summer 2012.

Skorpion Sport mirrors- just spotted another find. BMW R1150R has the same mirror pods and glass should you need to replace your sport broken mirrors. Eric

Mirrors to Skorpion Sport same at triump daytona 900, 1000 and 1200 upto 1996

Indicators same as those fitted to triumphs as above and the 959 daytona, speed tripple 955i anf T509

Almost anyone knows: The front headlight (contains 1 H4 lamp in the center) unit from a Yamaha TRX fits perfectly!

what years and models Yamaha TRX
google shows hundreds of pictures and almost none are front view that shows
head lamp
it may also be a model not sold in the USA making the headlamp hard to find on the west side of the pond

we have a problem with getting parts from other bikes here in the USA
there were hundreds of bike models made and a lot of them are never sold in the USA

the levers on the mz bikes were installed on no other bike sold in the USA
making breaking levers expensive
