It's a Givi. The model is "Roadstar".Very easily removed and reinstalled. I like that. My bags are Hepko-Becker and look somewhat smaller than yours.

My copper colored Tour has a National Cycle deflector shield & universal mount Maier black hand guards. I don't have any pics of it yet, but this setup protects my whole body w/wind hitting my helmet, just like I want it to. :D The whole 3 pieces probably weigh all of 2? lbs. & cost about $100 total. When I have a pic I'll try to send it here.

I also got some waterproof black tank panniers(Rev-Pack) to carry stuff & they keep my legs out of the cold wind/rain. My shins are warmed by the motor heat. 8)

rear fender/light...

Postby BAR » Fri Feb 20, 2004 1:04 pm

Yes, please ellucidate... :)

How would one go about modifying that back end to remove some of that "extra" rear fender area? There's a support bar back there about half way up the "vertical" section of the rear fender, so if you were to simply cut it (fender), you'd be exposing that bar (ugly).

Wish there was a simple way to "clean it up"...

Yeah, checked the caliper was first thing I did, after bringing it home...

2003 baggy rear fender

Postby Brian » Wed Feb 25, 2004 4:46 pm

I cut the fender using nibblers (look like a drill body with small scissor like cutter) In place (not removed from bike) can use jigsaw and flat file

Took grab bars off and used 5/16" Carriage bolts (1 1/4" long) to re fasten side covers to frame at the side of the seat.

used toilet hold down(teebolts) to hold rear fender assembly to tail light assembly

I removed the tail light assembly to cut frame

I moved tailight assembly back in place to where rear light is flush with back of fender.... marked near holes with marker tip going through fender holes, drilled holes and re assembled

These aren't in order but pointers only, I'll send picts in a bit
